Which shops can I buy from?

You can purchase from any U.S. retailer with an online store. Also, we provide in-store purchases from retailers without online stores, but are physically located in New York City. 

How can I track my order?

  • We will email you as items in your order ship, or if there are updates on the status of your order.
  • If you have an EmpressPost.com profile, sign in to your account. You’ll see which purchases are on the way and get to the shipment tracking updates.

How do I know if ordering online is secure? 
To help determine if your connection is secure, look at the status bar of your browser window. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) should be active, which helps to protect the transmission of information through the website. You should also verify that the URL for the page you are on includes “https” at the beginning. Most browsers offer additional security alerts as well.

What happens when my item is backordered? 
Items that aren’t available to ship when an order is placed are on backorder and will ship at a later date. We’ll provide you with an approximate ship date when you add the item to your cart and when you check out. Backorder ship dates are approximate, and we’ll email you if the date changes. Please note that, while your credit card will be authorized on the date you place your order, you will not be charged until the item ships.

Can you gift-wrap my order? 
No. Gift-wrapping aren’t available for international orders. We offer the following options:

Personalized Gift Message – Free 
Include a message of 8-12 words (up to 60 characters) with your gift, free of charge. Limited to one complimentary gift message per shipping destination.

Empress Post Gift Kit – Price Varies
An easy-to-assemble gift making essentials including tissue paper, a bow and a blank gift tag for you to personalize.

How do I add multiple items to one gift box?

  1. Add the desired items to your Order Form(s).
  2. Select Gift Box, then let us know who it’s to and add a message.
  3. Provide images and/ or links to products.
  4. Submit another other form when you have exceeded the product addition limit 
  5. Select the option to add the item(s) to your previous order.

Your order total is guaranteed at the exchange rate set when your order is placed. Foreign exchange rates are determined by our online payment processing companies and are based on interbank rates of exchange. These rates correspond with the average aggregate exchange rates that would otherwise be applied in an e-commerce transaction.

International taxes, tariffs and value-added tax (VAT) may be calculated into your final order total during Checkout. They are based on the purchased merchandise’s country of origin or manufacturing and the classification of that merchandise in accordance with a harmonized system used by the countries that Empress Post ships to. You have the option to pay these required charges during Checkout. If the charges are paid at Checkout, the order total (merchandise landed cost) is guaranteed by Empress Post and you are not required to pay any additional fees at the time of order delivery.

Some international destinations have the option to pay duties and taxes at the time of order delivery (COD). If you select this option, you will be required to pay duties and taxes, along with any collection fees, to the shipping carrier upon receipt. The order total (merchandise landed cost) cannot be guaranteed and may differ from what is quoted online at Checkout. If the due charges are not paid COD, the merchandise will be returned back to Empress Post and the customer will not be refunded any of the shipping charges.

 

You may be asked to pay additional fees imposed by your local customs department upon the delivery of your order.

Some shipping fees will include any duties, customs tariffs, value added taxes and similar taxes that may be required in your jurisdiction by local authorities, which will be in addition to the prices for the merchandise listed in your product request. The amount of any applicable duties, tariffs and taxes will vary based on a multitude of factors, including items such as the destination of origin or the classification of the merchandise being purchased. Our shippers, may determine and provide the amount of such duties, tariffs and taxes applicable to your purchase and include these amounts in your total at checkout. The total at checkout will be exclusive of any surcharges that may be imposed by the issuing bank of the credit card you use on transactions with companies domiciled in the United States.”

At this time, we cannot accept cash, CODs, checks, money orders or gift certificates for online purchases.

We ship to countries and individuals that are not subject to trade and sanctions laws.

Due to the increased cost of complying with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Empress Post has decided to discontinue shipping to customers in the UK and European Union. Customers with APO/FPO addresses within the EU may continue ordering as usual.

International shipping costs will be calculated by Empress Post based on the size and/or weight of the items you are purchasing, your chosen shipping method and your shipping destination.

International customers may ship to multiple addresses by placing a separate order for each shipping address. We do not ship single international orders to multiple addresses at this time.

Once your transaction is complete, Empress Post will purchase your requested and ship your order to its final international destination. Most in-stock items will arrive 4 – 20 business days after receipt of your order. Shipping can take even longer pending item availability at the retailer’s warehouse. You’ll see a shipping range specific to your destination in Checkout.

Please note that shipping windows are estimates and delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.

What do I do if I didn’t receive a shipment? 
If you’re missing items or shipments, contact us within 30 days of ship date.

What is the return policy?

Most U.S. retailers have return policies and will gladly accept many merchandise returns. However, there maybe exceptions to their respective return policies.  For example, some retailers do not accept returns on sale items. Others have a small time frame for the returns to be made.  Complete details on exceptions can be found on the retailer’s site. Items that qualify as allowable returns must be in their original condition. 

Orders shipped internationally aren’t eligible for free returns or merchandise exchanges; return shipping and handling fees will be deducted from your refund. Original shipping fees are nonrefundable.

For a refund that includes duties, taxes and tariffs, please contact Empress Post customer service and ask for a Return Merchandise Authorization form. Mail the completed form with your item(s) to Empress Post. Empress Post will credit your account when form and merchandise are received. You will also receive an email to confirm that the return has been completed. 

International orders returned directly to Empress Post will receive a refund for the merchandise but not duties, taxes or tariffs. If you have any problems with your order, please contact us within 45 days to resolve the issue.

The maximum order value for international shipment is US$25,000. Fine jewelry over US$1,500 cannot be shipped internationally.

Some products, including beauty items, hazardous materials, furs and exotic leathers, may have international shipping restrictions. Customers will be notified to remove restricted items during Checkout.

What kinds of promotions do you offer?

We like to reward our customers with special promotional offers. Available promotions will be indicated on relevant pages of our website. We offer:

  • Gifts with Purchase: Some of our most popular promotions are complimentary gifts with purchase, from cosmetics and fragrances to hats and golf balls. These promotions are typically associated with a specific brand, item or minimum order total. If shipping to multiple destinations, the gift will automatically ship to the billing address.
  • Buy More & Save: This promotion allows our customers to receive a discount by purchasing ten or more of one item or specified group of items. The discount will apply in the Checkout process.

How do I use a promotion code?

  • Promotion Code: You may qualify for a promotion that is associated with a specific code. Promotion codes can be found on the promotion or product details page. To retrieve your gift, enter the code in the promotion code field in the payment section during the Checkout process. Promotion codes are not case sensitive.
  • Automatic: Many promotions do not require a promotion code, and will automatically be added to your order during the Checkout process. You can see that the promotion has been added at the bottom of the Checkout page.

Are there any restrictions for promotions? 
Promotions may be limited to purchases from participating brands, retail shops, a specified group of items or a minimum order price. All promotions are available for a limited time during indicated dates, and only while supply lasts.

Does Empress Post offer coupons? 
We do offer Empress Post coupons for sales or discounts. Also, we do offer promotions on selected items. However, any references to “Empress Post Coupon,” “Empress Post Coupon Code” or “Empress Post Discount Code” on other sites are not valid.
